Feed Dog Productions is me, Margaret Leahy, Harsh Realm's old lady and the bane of his existence. <3
Feed Dog Productions covers whatever I'm making at the moment. The name refers to a part of a sewing machine: "feed dogs" are the rows of tiny teeth under the presserfoot that chug up and down and pull the fabric through the machine.
I love fiber art, bones and teeth, anatomy, shiny things, gold + brass, animals, anthropomorphism, the occult, mythology, cryptids, found objects, dark history, and color. I make a lot of things that are just inside jokes with myself; I am excited and humbled when other people like them too.
One of my favorite parts of making art is problem-solving; hence, I am largely self-taught, as I would rather figure out how to do something myself than learn how to do it "the right way." This can be frustrating, but when I land on a desired outcome by trial-and-error, I am more likely to remember how I got there than if I took a class or followed a tutorial.
